Welcome! This is a journal for all writers and creative enthusiasts out there, where prompts are posted every single day of the year. So far, it's only run by me (Sabs-chan), though I plan to keep it that way, for the most part.
The prompts I will post, for each twenty-four hour period, are phrases and verses that will hopefully excite your mind, get that right side of the brain working, and provide general writing exercise. Please check continually for the new prompts and updates!
(Contests may also be run in the near future~)
How it Works
As said already, each day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.) I post a brand new prompt for you as a writer to work off of. The prompts I pick and choose to share are all, I believe, wonderful and inspiring lines from novels, essays, poetry, music, movies, quotes, and ordinary life. Sometimes, I even make one up on the spot (don't mind the insanity, really).
Monday through Tuesday's prompts are solely text-based, while Fridays I use a visual picture/representation as the prompt. These images may be stock, works of art, or - simply - anything interesting. You can expect the unexpected! Contests and other events are usually posted on Sundays or Mondays, according to how busy I am.
You do not have to write for every day. If you find the prompt for the day to be unable to stir up anything, you are - of course - not obliged to writing to it. You do not have to publicly share your writing, in response to a prompt, either.
Posting/Your Fics
All types of writing responses are allowed. This includes poetry, fanfiction, original fiction, and lyrics to a song. We prefer fiction, however. :]
Fanfiction can be from any fandom, whether that fandom is a(n) television show, anime, movie, video game, existing J-Pop band, etc. Take your pick. Here, we respect all of the fandoms and hardily accept any writings based off of them.
If you wish to share your writing in response to one of the prompts, please post it in a comment. (Obviously: how else would you be able to do it?) Use a link to a separate journal/off-site webpage that includes your writing, no matter how many words that writing is. On another note: explicit material is allowed, but please rate the fic. Put clear, explanatory warnings with fics that contain adult/explicit material.
You may change/use any form you wish when posting a writing in a comment. Your form MUST include these things, however:
Title: Title of your fic. Self-explanatory.
Name: Lj username or nickname
Fandom: What your fic is based off of. If it's your own work entirely, use "original".
Pairing/Characters: OR a brief, brief summary.
Rating: G = everyone, T = 13+, M = 18+, etc.
Disclaimer: Can be silly, but it still has to be included!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are there going to be prompts on the holidays?
A: It really does depend. Obviously, I'm going to post prompts on St. Patrick's Day and MLK, but Christmas...not quite sure. We'll have to see how it plays out.
